The Plot Thickens…

Dean Hollands Challenge

Dean Hollands ChallengeSome of you reading my blog might have noticed something. My daughter left a cute comment for me on my first post ๐Ÿ™‚ She also left the same cute comment on her daddys new blog! So what is going on?

Well a couple of days ago my husband came back from work complaining of the usual – too much to do, not enough hours in the day to get things done, priorities being over ridden by more priorities to the point of it getting silly.

So what did I say?

“Hey why don’t you have a go at what I’m doing?”

“What’s that?”

“I’ve just started an online challenge to start an internet business.”

“But I thought thats what you were doing anyway?”

“This is different. The challenge should put me on track to earning a real salary and having an actualย  business rather than just a few websites.”

“Hmm. How much?”

Well it went something like that! I showed him the warrior forum post and he got a little bit interested especially since it wasn’t going to cost much.

Basically he has also joined this challenge – independantly from me – but don’t worry we won’t start writing soppy messages on each others blogs! We are both serious about this challenge and I have to say it’s nice to be able to chat about it at home.

The Battle Begins

Of course we are both competitive ๐Ÿ™‚ This means we will both want to succeed and therefore provides even more motivation to take action!

If you have someone at home who can support you with this challenge or even have a go themselves then you will really benefit. Chatting about it makes it more real and you become accountable to someone else – someone who you see – and thats a huge difference from being accountable to people online.

If you can’t find anyone to chat to about it at home then perhaps you could ask some friends to check out your new blog. That way you will get more traffic (always a bonus!) and also become accountable to your friends to take action.

  1. Ohhh this explains quite a lot.

I remember reading a number’s code on someone’s blog (obviously had to be this one) and then I saw it on ANOTHER blog and I immediately started thinking that it could be maybe some kind of automated spam.

So after reading this post, I know exactly what was happening.

I wish my girlfriend joined me on Internet Marketing but she’s just not into it, at least not right now.

As for the suggestion of bring friends on board, that’s a no-go for me.

Every single friend I have is very skeptical about what I do and honestly, I already gave up trying to explain what I do and I think they feel the same way, not wanting to understand.

So I keep work and relationships strictly apart. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Anyway, great post again Kay and awesome to see that your husband also joined you.

Who was the first Internet Marketer or better said, who brough who? ๐Ÿ™‚

    Sergio

    1. Thats a shame that your friends are skeptical. Never mind you have all of us doing this challenge as friends now!

I really can’t remember who originally brought me into the internet marketing stuff. I first started doing surveys and thought there must be something easier. Started doing mystery shopping and eventually came across the warrior forum.

One of the first people I started to follow and respect a lot is Dr Andy Williams of EZSEO.

Perhaps your girlfriend would leave a comment on your blog?

      1. Oh she reads it but she doesn’t interacts there, in other words, she has never left a comment before but I know it is because she don’t wants to mess anything up.

I am including her slowly into it, have some pictures of her on Facebook as well, she doesn’t loves it but I think she actually likes it. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Dr. Andy Williams hmmm no, it doesn’t rings any bells.

How I got started was super embarrassing (or at least that’s what I think lol) but I made my first bucks with PTC sites and used to spend literally entire days watching ads on traffic exchanges as well.

When I saw the surveys and mistery shopping deals I always thought they were not real so I never tried those.

Thanks for all the feedback, the chit chat has been a pleasure so far and I’ll definitely keep in touch Kay.

Take care and enjoy your weekend! ๐Ÿ˜‰

PS. How is your husband doing with the challenge? I have been trying to involve my girl with a blog but for the love of God she’s definitely not interested ๐Ÿ™

        1. I did some of those traffic exchanges too – boy they take up time!

My husband is totally new at this and so I am helping as much as I can but not doing any of it for him if you see what I mean. He is really enjoying it and he didn’t think he would! Let me know if you girlfriend ever takes that step to leave a comment…. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Yes! She is called Paddy (I know, shes a girl with a boys name……) and will be 11 years old next month and still as mad as she always was! We love her. Unfortunately she gets hayfever and its bad at the moment so shes on anti-histimine tablets and steroid cream. Instead of itchy eyes she gets itchy feet and generally itchy everywhere. I am looking to make some kind of garment for her to wear to stop the grass touching her – I was thinking of using a large babygrow as my starting point! Any ideas?

  2. That is Awesome Kay! You are very lucky to be able to share this with your entire family. Loved the personal touch (and story) by the way, much more than the detailed account on the challenge ๐Ÿ™‚
